While making a major change to your home is exciting and rewarding, it can also seem overwhelming. That’s why, GoodBuild Ltd. Custom Homes and Renovations has created a unique process to guide each project from idea to reality, ensuring clear communication, timeliness and organization, and exceptional quality.
Consultation
Build on your own land or land acquisition. We’ll begin with a detailed discussion where we’ll learn about your dreams, needs and ideas. These will be the guide as we design your space. We’ll also perform an initial site inspection to assess your home’s current structure and research your town’s building codes.
We will draw up floor plans of your existing home, create rough initial plans of the proposed changes and draw up a document outlining the project’s parameters. These will give us a very general idea of the scope, time commitment and cost of your project.
Design
Use your own design or use design services, city planning and COA, permits
We’ll discuss types of materials you’d like to use (custom or stock cabinetry, hardwood or tile floors, etc.) and fine-tune the design. A 3-D rendering of your concept will be designed, so you’ll get to see what your space will look like.
A site visit will be conducted to provide an in-depth analysis of your home’s systems and provide recommendations for upgrades if needed, and suppliers and subcontractors will provide their cost estimates.
At the end of the design phase, you will have a final construction cost estimate, permit and written specifications for the project.
Construction
Site visits and update meetings
During construction, you can expect respectful craftsmen who leave the work area clean, regular quality control inspections and weekly meetings with your contractor.
The construction of your project ends with a final inspection walk-through to ensure the quality of every detail. And even though you’ll have the house to yourself again, we’re still available to help should any issue arise: every client receives a comprehensive warranty on our work.
